Beatles Day

On July 10th the inaugural Beatles Day is going to be celebrated in the city of Liverpool, birthplace of the world's greatest ever pop band!  People throughout the city and beyond are being encouraged to create 'Beatlemania' once again and take part in a number of activities to raise funds for two nominated charities, Alder Hey IMAGINE Appeal and Liverpool Unites.

Buy your wig:   Over 20,000 specially made Beatles-style mop-top wigs will be sold around Merseyside for people to wear.  Wigs are £5 with all proceeds donated to the two charities.  You can get your wig at the following outlets: IMAGINE Appeal Office; 08 Place and 08 Visitor Points at Albert Dock and John Lennon Airport; Lewis'; Liverpool Echo, Old Hall St; Smiffy's of Bold Street; and the Beatles Story, Albert Dock.

Fun Run:   1 mile fun-run will take place in the Echo Arena - for an entry form please click here

IMAGINE Concert:   The day will end with IMAGINE - the concert at the Summer Pops, hosted by Ricky Tomlinson.  He will be joined by a host of artists young and old from around the country, all performing Beatles favourites at a packed Liverpool arena!  For more information about the concert, please contact the Beatles Day organisers, CMP Entertainment.
