In the Community

There are lots of innovative ways in which you could be a fundraiser, either on your own or with a group of friends. Here are some ideas of how you could get involved, and please don't hesitate to contact us for ideas, advice and support. Before you get started you need a letter of authority from us. This gives the people you approach the reassurance that you are genuinely fundraising on our behalf. This will be issued by us upon receipt of your letter which should outline your proposed fundraising activities, dates and contact details.

Organise an event

There are many different types of fundraising events that you could organise to raise money for IMAGINE.  Here are some examples of things that our supporters have come up with:

Car Wash
Coffee Morning
Charity Dinner
Christmas Fair
Garden Party
Halloween Party
It's a Knockout
Karaoke night
Quiz night
Race night
Teddy Bear's picnic

Get your school involved

Children often know more about the hospital than any of our other supporters because they always know a friend who has visited us!

Our Community Fundraising Manager would be delighted to come and visit your school and talk to the children about the work we do, and how they can get involved to support IMAGINE.  Please ring Irene Axon on 0151-252 5742 to arrange a visit

Display collecting tins

Displaying collecting tins in shops, pubs/bars, hotels etc is a simple and effective way of raising funds for 'IMAGINE', whilst at the same time raising awareness of Alder Hey Children's Hospital. Each tin can average between £25 - £50 so it soon adds up! Contact us for further information.
